Auntie Anne's Eat this.....

Amy's love for pretzels is definitely known around town....and we had a bake-at-home box from a while back.  So Amy finally decided enough already and made 2 kinds of pretzels at home.  Anthony helped a little and the pretzels were pretty tasty!

The two kinds were: Original (which ended up being garlic flavored in the end) & Cinnamon and Sugar.  Both were good, but Aunty Anne's is still probably better.  Maybe we will try again but not wait so long to use the box... maybe that will help.

Huskies vs. Nebraska Huskers

We're gonna keep this post fairly short as there isn't really anything good to report...


As Anthony has stated the week before, Nebraska travels well... and it shows... check out the sea of red... we didn't even get photos of the largest red areas...

"Big Red" was everywhere... ugg... even right behind us... just couldn't escape!!  As you can see, we were staying positive regardless...

Still had a great view too!

We lost, big time, so big time no one wants to talk about it... but we did have a couple of good plays, and we weren't shut out, so there were some fun moments to celebrate.

Ultimately, things were so bad even the actual Husky gave up and took a nap.  He wanted to leave early, like we did, but he didn't have that option.  Poor Dawg...


Let's try not to play like a$$ next time, guys.  Hopefully the bye week will give you some time to get it together...

The Oregon Trail

Anthony had yet another business trip recently; this one was to Oregon.  He calls it the Oregon Circle, but this time it was more like the Oregon Trail...  


Between all of his meetings, and driving 1,500 miles in 5 days, Anthony managed to see an actual wagon on the trail.

In all, anthony went from Seattle to The Dalles, to Hermiston, to Pendleton, to Baker City, to Redmond, to Bend, to Medford, to Roseburg, to Eugene, to Albany, to Portland and finally made it home!

Seahawks Season Opener - vs. 49ers

Ca-Caw!  It's Seahawks time!


After coming off a Husky win the day before, we figured it was WAY too much to ask to win the Hawks home opener.  We thought we might be off to a good start when we finally found free parking near the stadium - who doesn't like saving $35?


We got into the stadium just in time (thanks to the severe lack of parking options) to see something truly crazy.  The big screens in the stadium were showing people in an airplane... then it hits you... those people are about to jump out of a plane... and the plane is flying over the stadium!  We watched them jump, all three of them, and followed them as they literally flew onto Qwest Field.  It sounds pretty corny, but it was super awesome to watch.

Here come the HAWKS!!! (And don't forget about Taima...)

Anthony getting his binocular schwerve on... luckily we found our smaller ones for next time, these are pretty massive...

No activity is complete without some amount of cell phone usage on Anthony's part...

SIDE NOTE:
What you can't see in this photo is the Seahawks sideline, complete with coaching staff dressed in white tops and khaki pants.  This wardrobe change is bugging the crap out of Amy.  Something about that sea of khaki just gives her the heebeeeffin'geebees.  


According to an article in the Seattle times, Carroll is all about the khakis:

"Utility trousers," Carroll calls them.

He loves his khakis. He can play hoops in them or study film. They're nice enough to pair with a dress shirt for dinner at a steakhouse with cloth napkins, durable enough for the NFL sidelines and casual enough for a beer on the patio.

Khakis are amorphous, but ultimately functional. They are whatever you want them to be, which makes them perfect for the multipurpose Carroll.

Amy does not agree with any of the above.  Khaki's are "nice enough for cloth napkins" and "durable enough for the NFL sidelines and casual enough for a beer on the patio"... those three things do NOT go together, no way Jose.

Unbelievable!  Another win for Seattle Sports!  What an AMAZING weekend!!

Husky Football Home Opener - vs. Syracuse

This year Anthony and Amy got Husky Football season tickets!  This means we stocked up on husky gear, and are spending more time in Seattle fo sho... (bubble tea, what?)


The season started with the season opener at BYU... a horrible no good very bad game for U-Dub.  Time to turn things around at home!

Let's start out with some tunes from the band!  Yay, husky marching band (Amy has a thing for marching bands, don't get it, don't need to, it just is...)

Barely an empty seat in the house!

At halftime, the Presidents of the United States of American performed for us... thank GOODNESS they didn't play "Peaches"... Amy can't stand that song but only cuz it's one of Anth's favorite songs to make fun of/make up words to...  Thanks POTUSOA for playing LUMP!!

We've got some pretty awesome seats... another nice view...

Hells to the YEAH!  We totally wiped the floor with the Cuse Bias.  So glad to be able to mentally tell the Cuse Bia behind us to suck it, since all game we really wanted to tell her to shut the eff up.  Its hard out there for a lone Cuse fan...

DMB 2010 with Wil and Laura

This year we were thinking we might skip our annual Dave Mathews at the Gorge weekend... but decided if we could get reserved GA seats, we would give that a try.  As it so happened, Wil was able to hook us up, so we went with him and his fabulous girlfriend, Laura, and had an awesome time!


After carpooling it and picking up our tickets at Will Call, we hit the Platinum parking lot and got our asses into the Gorge.  We grabbed our seats and took it all in.

We were calling Laura "Yakisoba Monster" because she just had to have her yaki soba.  She said it's not even that good, but there was just something about it...

Pretty sure Wil skipped food and just got all his calories from brewskis and shots at the cliffhouse...

We were sitting next to a HUGE group of barefoot hippies, right next to the smaller group of barefoot hippies that were fighting with their boyfriends by the end of the night.  The HUGE group had more light sticks than we've ever seen before and made fun sculptures.. but this one girl was just scary crazy... as seen above...

Despite the hippies and the neighbors' drama, we all had a great time!

Once the show started, and Amy got her hands on some light sticks, you pretty much couldn't get her to stop drumming...

So finally, Anth joined in too... hella fun!

As we collected light sticks, Amy started adorning herself with them... as seen above...
