Anthony: another stadium! SF

So after all of the work done on this trip, one last stop at AT&T Park was needed. The stadium is awesome. It is right against the water. The kayakers were out before the game to try and catch some batting practice home runs.
How many stadiums have a view of the water?
The coke bottle is actually a slide for kids and drunken adults.
It was absolutely gorgeous and a perfect day for baseball. It was the Giants Home Opener, so there were plenty of pre-game activities.
The coolest part about the park is that there are tons of little features that are only seen here For example the Giants 500 HR club.
They released a ton of balloons before the game. This makes Amy mad.
Tim Lincecum was introduced to a loud ovation. Always great to see a UW Alum.


Another cool thing was that Jerry Rice threw out the first pitch and he threw it to Steve Young. After the first pitch, Rice went out for a pass and Young threw a baseball TD to him. It was very cool.

No one has hit the glove yet and 501 feet is a long way to hit a ball....someday.
The splash hits meter keeps track of Home runs that land in the water. Most of these belong to Barry Bonds.
To the left of the Comcast sign is a plaque where Bonds record breaking 756th HR hit.
Below is Pedro Sandoval.
His nickname is Kung Fu Panda.
Wholly cow, it is Potatoes O'Flaherty. He is on the Braves now.
I had to leave the game a bit early to catch my flight home, but I will be back.

Santa Rosa

So the last night I spent in the Bay Area was in Santa Rosa. Now it was a bee-atch to get there due to traffic in Sonoma. But once there it sure is beautiful. Who doesn't love palm trees?

That was my hotel....The Flamingo.

lots of area out here to live, grow grapes, olives, etc.

And yes, I saw some livestock too! Moo-Cow!

Golden Gate Bridge

Not that this would normally deserve its own post, but since it was so cool..... This is the view from the airplane ride in to Oakland. Very cool shot by a cool photographer!

This was on the Sausalito side.

No one offered to take my picture so I did it my damn self.

On the way back to the city on the last day of the trip.

Pretty killer view from the side. No time to get out this day but next time for shizzle.

a $6 toll to get back to the city. WTF!

San Francisco

So SF is a super cool city. It is way liberal and has a bunch of weirdos but overall its beauty overshadows all of the negatives. Right after the Ipad came out, I saw billboards like this all over the city.

Upon arriving in SF, I saw a sign for Candlestick Park (old SF Giants home and current SF 49ers home). I took the exit and saw an alcove where a bunch of people were windsurfing.

And yes, I also found Candelstick Park. It is kind of a dump, but I am sure on gameday the place is bumping.

This is a friend of mine's warehouse. He stacked all of these ladies shoe bags up to the ceiling. Fire marshalls charge him every year for fines for reasons like this.

Below is the Bay Bridge. Huge and spectacular....but since it is in the same city as the Golden Gate Bridge, it gets overshadowed and often times forgotten.

We went to lunch at Fisherman's Wharf.

Behind me is Alcatraz.

Alcatraz is super cool. If we ever get a chance to go back, a tour has to happen!

So there is an area at Fisherman's Wharf where all of these seals hang out. There were tons and suppsoedly this is only 1/3 of what is normal.

On the way back to the hotel, I drove by this hotel that had all sorts of stuff hanging out the windows. It was pretty funny.

It is crazy how the houses are stacked so tightly but it is super cool to look at.
