Last part of Oregon circle trip

At the end of my trip, I decided to visit a customer of mine who own a Bed and Breakfast in St. Helens, Oregon. Here are a couple of pictures of the view they have on their front porch. Matt and I enjoyed some red wine, talked about the present and the past and stared out at the view before I bought them dinner.
If you are ever in the area or are interested, the price was quite reasonable and it was very nice. www.nobhillbb.com/inn.html

Oregon circle business trip

Well as you can see from all the posts today, we were very behind with the blog. So, i didn't take a ton of pictures on my trip, but you can see some things that I did. First night in Baker City was the nicest hotel.
As you can see, there was a lot of history in this place.
I got upgraded to a suite for no reason which was cool.

And the restaraunt had a sweet stained glass window that supposedly is the largest on the west coast. Anyways, I walked around the city some before dinner and it was hella dead yo.

The next hotel was in Bend, Oregon and it was whack to say the least.,,,it had a pool but it was like a Highway 99 Apartment building which is not good.

I didn't take pictures of the hotel in Medford but it was DECE. Finally, my hotel in Portland had a gorgous view of the Columbia River. I was busy with an intestinal parasite so swimming was not my top priority. Either way, pretty nice place to finish my trip.

Along the way, I saw some cool $hit including rock formations,

areas filled with trees (so thick it was tough to see the sky),

windmills,
bridges,
rivers (tons...that is what happens when you are in 11 cities in 5 days and drive 1600 miles in that time), etc.

I also saw this super cool car in the Bend Red Lion parking lot.

Well, safe to say I won't be in Oregon again for a while! Yes, I took pictures on my cell phone while driving, so BACK OFF!

We have outdoor friends.....and they are super cute!

Well one morning when I was getting up early to water the grass, I saw a few raccoons on our fence. They went away and I didn't think anything of them. Then one night when Amy was weeding in the garden, she saw the family of raccoons again and took pictures! There were 3 total and they were very cautious and knew we were watching them. How cute. Not good for cats or dogs to play outside by themselves, but we won't have that problem.

Birthday pictures

Here are some pictures from my Birthday. Amy surprised me and took me to the Salish Lodge's Attic Lounge for dinner where we had Halibut tacos, scallop lollipops and 3 kinds of drinks. It was really delicous. Then we went to the new casino in Snoqualmie. We played some 3 cent slots and won $20. Then the evil blackjack dealers took that money and a bit more. But it was fun nonetheless and well worth it. After that, we came home and saw the Mariners losing to the Yankees. So I stopped playing with my cell phone and started opening presents.  A brand new Ipod, a Seattle Sports book that I have wanted for a long time and a snowboarding XBOX game that was really fun! The ipod came in real handy on my Oregon business trip (notes and pictures to follow soon). The sports book is a list of Seattle Sports memories, events, etc. Very interesting for anyone who is thinking about getting it. And the snowboarding game has already been played late 2 nights and early 1 morning. Birthday #28 was definitely a fun one. 1 more till the scary number! My wife is the best and I love her very much. She always makes birthdays and holidays super special.

Friday Night Fun

This Friday the family went out to celebrate Anthony and Jason's Birthdays. Happy Birthday you too!

After a great meal at Rays, some drinks and good company, Selena suggested that we "keep this party going"... so we did... some of us headed on down to the Nickerson Saloon for some good times.
We happened to be there long enough that we caught the second happy hour - a shot and a beer for 6 bucks. So I had to do Stephanie and Dennis proud... here is a view of my Tall Boy PBR through my Jager glass... ouch...

Kinda hard to see, but in a dimly lit bar with only your husbands cell phone to light your way, the Palm Centro can only acoomplish so much... And seriously, as a side note... Amy kicks ass at taking shots, at least when compared to Selena and Libbye... come on ladies... it's called a "SHOT" not a "SIP"!! Yeeeah!

"Let's keep this party going!"

Ok Selena, Anthony and I will come over to your place to kick it a while longer even tho it's alreayd 1am...

"Have another drink..." well, one of us has to drive, so how about just some rum for Anthony... wow... that's a big glass of rum... and 5....4.....3....2.... he's out, sleeping on the couch.
"Awww, he's so cute... he's so adorable when he's sleeping," said Jason...

So... Jason, Selena and Amy stayed up talking about random things and issues until Anthony graced us with his wakefulness....

"Seriously tho, Jason you need some new socks"... and it's true... oh no his ghet-toes made the blog!

and we continued to talk for another couple hours until finally Selena had taken this "lack of sleep thing" too far and began to get hyper and rolled off of the couch onto the floor...
Yeah, i guess 4am is as good a time as any to leave someone's house... Good times J and Pint Size - looking forward to many more!!

Mariners game August 7 2009 with Fisks

Well what started out at 7pm and dragged on till almost 11pm ended up being worth it. By the way, check out this guy's beard. crazy! We went to the game vs the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Felix was pitching.
We brought Matt and Julie along with us and had drinks at FX before the game. Mmmmmm, RUM!The game was boring sometimes so we played with the camera. Weird Eye picture, huh?Russell Branyan hit a huge HR early on (439 feet) and then nothing...boredom....we were down 5-1 until Griffey hit a HR. But we were still losing 5-2. Amy was quite bored up to that point. A huge rally capped off by Ichiro getting a 2-run single toed it at 5-5. See Amy and Julie finally getting back into the game after being bored and wanting to go home. This was after Ichiro's hit. Then horendously Tampa Bay's SS Bartlett hit a HR to make it 6-5. It seemed impossible and over. Then Frankie G walked. Then with 2 outs and 2 strikes in the bottom of the 11th.... well...the pictures help tell the story.

If you missed it on TV, too bad for you cause Ryan Langerhans won it with a 2-run walk off HR that went 372 feet and was a no doubt about it line drive to RF. Excellent ending, quite an up and (at times very) down game.

Happy Anniversary to the Aise's

Well, we of course wished we could be in Utah now or our friends Jason and Heather could be in Seattle, but that is life.

SEA------HAWKS! Practice at VMAC

Another cool thing Anthony did this week was go to the VMAC and see the Seahawks practice.Saw Matt Hasselback (didn't see his Infiniti but we all know it is there),

So was Nicky D,

Matt and Julie Fisk

The coolest sun hat ever.....
TJ Houshmanzadah, AKA: Housh and Who's your Mama.....
It really was gorgous....Paul Allen must have some money in his savings account or something.

Look, it is Lofa!
Cannot wait until next year's practices....nah, forget that, cannot wait until September for games to start. Go HAWKS!
