M's vs Angels + Trivia Night

On August 31st, Anthony had the opportunity to attend Mariners Trivia Night by way of the M's vs. Angels game.  His friend, Andrew, who happened to be celebrating his birthday that day, was working with another friend to put together a Mariners Brain Trust to compete in the first ever M's Trivia Night Event.

MORE ABOUT THE TRIVIA EVENT HERE

In the end, the 3rd place team had 25 out of 40 right, 2nd place had 30 out of 40, and the winning team had 36 out of 40... and that team just happened to be Anthony's team!  GO TEAM!!

The winners received T-shirts, shown below, that say "Mariners Genius".

Anthony and Andrew in their hot new shirts!

The winning team also had to buy seats in order to participate in the contest, but got to trade in their cheap seats for a set right behind the M's dugout in the first row!  The seats were so awesome and so close, you could actually lean over the wall and touch the dirt!

How could you not LOVE these seats?!!?!?

The guys hollered at Frankie G since he was so close.

Kazuhiro Sasaki....Daimonji!

M's hanging out in the dugout!  (Too bad the camera man is a coug... bloody coug...)

Russell the muscle.  (Amy likes to call him BIG Russell, since he replaced RS on 1st base... she can't help herself)

If Felix doesn't win the Cy Young award we will all be pissed off.

Felix 10 feet from us, right before the game... he's so awesome and only 24 years old!

Just another day at the ballpark for Felix.

Felix giving Vargas some insight!

Not a surprise that barely any runs were scored this game....what else is new?

This was a replay of the first batter Felix pitched to.  There was a line drive at his face and he caught it, thank goodness!

Finally, some runs.

And the DA is in to close the case!

Always a good sign after the game....

Great seats, great Mariners Trivia minds, and even a WIN!

Marley wedding....fun, but rough evening

Anthony's friend, Marley (Sean Marley / Smarles) was married on August 28th.  His wife, Krista, is a lovely girl and we were honored to attend their special day.  It didn't hurt that Reid, Darrel, Tu, Zach and Frenchy were all there too - Anth loves these guys and wishes he got to see them more often, so to see them all at once was pretty awesome.

The beautiful couple were wed at Magnuson Park, also known as Warren G park...  It was a beautiful scene as you can see.

Here comes the bride!

Short but sweet ceremony (about 7 minutes, 14 including processional and recessional)

The happy couple

And Reid, that tall lanky mo fo, flew in from Hawaii for the special event

No wedding is complete without a blimp fly-by...

Amy in her new dress!  Too bad it got ripped and stained later in the evening since this was it's maiden voyage...  lesson to learn here, even if you don't take advantage of the open bar, it can still hurt you...

Our new friend, Erin (Darrel's Lady) - she's so cute!

Anth's friends Tu and Amy Pak who Amy finally officially met that evening - a great couple!

Anth enjoying the open bar... and so it begins...

Beautiful venue and decorations

Anth hearts his friend, Darryl.  Who doesn't?  He's a great dude!  We don't get to see him all that often tho, so this night was extra special.

Our wedding favor/gift - Sweet and Spicy BBQ rub!

Anthony and Reid - what a cute couple!  Too bad Reid and Sara live far far away in paradise without us... always good to see them when they visit.

How can you not love Frenchy and his chops?  This guy is for real, he can really rock this look like no one else.  And he can rock the dance floor too, as seen here.

Ever seen it rain?  Zach actually made it RAIN at the wedding.  One of the all time funniest things we've ever seen.

After a stunt like that, Anth had to give Zach some mad props

Ok boys, time to get low, get low.... to the windooooooow, to the waaaalll...  Did we mention the open bar?

Work it!  Gotta love these guys...

ATO Photo op!

We wear our sunglasses at night, so we can, so we can... be like Corey Hart!!

Sometimes Zach didn't have a dance partner (hard to believe since the ladies there kept referring to him as "Hot Zach"), so he took care of that for himself...

Did we mention the open bar?  This is something Anthony took advantage of... a little too much.  A couple beers, then some rum and cokes... ok, LOTS of rum and cokes...  too many rum and cokes... and the hilarity ensued... see the next series of photos below... they speak for themselves...

Oh, and then the evening was coming to a close... so in an effort to keep this party going, we all headed over to the Duchess... and these are the drunk photos Anthony took while Amy was driving...

And by the time we made it to the Dutch... there was basically time for the bartender to give Anth (who was in poor shape) some free fries and sprite, get one photo, and go home.

Needless to say the ride home and the aftermath that followed was... interesting... but everyone made it out on the other side ok and Anth swore off alcohol for a few weeks...

Overall a fun, and slightly rough, evening...  Thanks for the memories!
