Opening Day at Safeco Field 2010

Anthony went to Opening Day at Safeco with Michael, Jeremy and Taylor.
The starting lineup looked a bit new....
The roof was closed as it was a bit rainy out.
The roof opened though as we got to see baseball played the way it should be: Outside!
How cool is it that Randy Johnson threw out the first pitch?

Dan Wilson caught the first pitch.

Then we saw Jay Buhner, Edgar Martinez and Ken Griffey Jr join them. These were the 5 players who made baseball in Seattle thrive starting in 1995.

Hyphen pitched decent overall, but he walked a bunch of guys.
The loss wasn't his fault as we only managed 2 hits and got shutout.
On the way out of the stadium, Jeremy saw Vern Fonk.

It should be noted that Amy 100% anti Vern Fonk and his ugly commercials that make her want to barf. This anti-vern-fonk thing is so strong that she actually considered NOT buying our current home due to its close proximity to a Vern Fonk location... Thus it should be obvious that she is protesting this photo being on our blog.
