M's Fan Appreciation 10/2/09

Amy and I always try to go to Fan Appreciation so we can win something. We have never won, so we must really be due. This year we had nice seats before the game.

First a buffet and some drinks....

Then breadsticks that reminded me of Italy, ok not really nearly as good, but the concept....
Amy was excited that it was the last Mariners game she would watch for 6 months!

It was cold (almost October yo) so we were bundled up hella!

The night stated off clear, but then the rain started coming.....

and the roof started closing.....

We got a bit wet while it was closing, but once it was closed, way better!

All done.

What is better than Blue cotton candy?..................Well duh, free Blue cotton candy!
Our seats were excellent and we got to watch Griffey hit from up close.

Felix is pitching Sunday and this was a cool graphic that the scoreboard had up. Felix is the man BTW!

Someday, that sweet swing will be missed.

Not his best night, but he did hit a HR last night and because I know the future, he hits a HR in tomorrow's Saturday's game).

This scoreboard showed what happened before we gave the game away and lost. Not a fun ending and not a great one to keep score at (I did, so I know).

Yom Kippor 2009

Shortly after the Seahawks game, we went to Yom Kippor services. The next day after services, many of us went to Mom and Dad's house for dinner. There were tons of people there, so many that 2 tables were needed. Food and company was great!

Hawks vs Da Bears, Ugh!

What started out as an excellent day, slowly turned to....crap. Look how horrible these evil bright green jerseys look. Seriously, who approved that, certainly wasn't us. Yes, get excited about losing at home. Because that is what happened. I know we were without Matt H. but come on...1-2 is not a good thing.

Jere sported the Bozworth old school jersey but it didn't help our cause.

Blue thunder was loud at first....Isaac is in the front left with the symbols...he inspects ocean containers for us and loves playing the drums.
Joe Shannon and I had lots of fun. Thanks to Amy for taking this picture and many of the others.

Jere was, less enthused about the game. But he was there and for Jere, going to sporting events shows that he cares, cause he rarely goes.

Sigh....

Even Nasty Nate couldn't make the jersey work.
That is Amy and my foot. We both wear New Balance sneakers....we are so married.

Matt and Julie post-wedding party in Kirkland

Matt and Julie got married in June in the Brittish Virgin Islands. They celebrated with all of their Seattle area friends and family in Kirkland the second to last weekend in September. Collin made a nice speech to both Matt and Julie....
He had Julie laughing

And Matt was too.

It was a funny, fun occasion.

Matt and Julie even danced a bit, which was cool, you can tell they took lessons.

The sunset was beautiful that night. Seemed windy and it got cooler as the night progresses. Last days of summer.....

Montana trip

Well in the interest of keeping everyone up to date, here is a post on when I was in Montana on business. This shot is only funny because it is the nicest hotel in Billings and it is right next to the St. Vincent De Paul, not that there is anything wrong with that.....
Yeah, skate or die, a cool skate park that I saw in Billings.

Yep, I was in Montana, saw lots of cattles. Moo!

Continental divide has lots of these moutains that flatten out on top. Weird looking, but really it is Montana so, it is expected.

Hella rocks = scenery

The hill here was cool, many different colors in this Butte mountain.

I have never seen so many casinos in my life and that includes Vegas, Reno, etc. I saw casino's attached to Quiznos, gas stations, hotels, the airport, etc.

Funny sign....Butte sounds like Butt.

This was a historic spot where Lewis and Clark started their trail or some history blah blah....look it was pretty and I needed to stretch my legs.

I sometimes forgot how close to Canada I was. Yes, it was September but it is cold as you know what in the mornings and night and I had no jacket. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb!

This is what I saw most of my driving time, nothing in all directions.

This was a cool shot.....A Penguin which makes it cool enough, but this Glacier Park Inn also says that this city, Cut Bank is the coldest spot in the nation.

Insert Native American joke of some sort here.....ie: Man walks into a psychiatrists office and says Doctor I've had bad dreams the last two nights...last night I had a dream that I was a Teepee, day before that I dreamed I was a Wigwam....Doctor says, man you are two Tense (tents). Hahahahaha!

Horsey!

Mountains, Glacier National, etc.

Seemed safe enough, no one was behind me.

Look how gross my windshield looked....every time I got gas I had to clean the window....many innocent bugs died making this blog.

Normal cop, yes....funny county name "Flathead" Yes.....

GPS, makes everything so easy...btw, when I saw Highway 2, i felt like I was close to Stevens Pass/Everett. I wasn't, but i felt happy.

This bar/casino made me want to drink beer.

Only in Montana or Wyoming would this fly.
I have never seen a Mega Salvation Army, but this store was huge. Located in downtown Kalispell.

This Aero Inn is where Grandma, Grandpa and I stayed after 5th grade when we went to Banff, Lake Louise, Glacier National, etc. Our car broke down when it was 105 degrees out in late August. It was hot as hell and this was the only hotel in town where we could find a room.

This lake was friggin huge, maybe bigger than Lake Washington. For realz.
It was really pretty and reminded me of home. Boats, man I wish I was on a boat ya, going fast ya, I got a Natutical themed pashmena afghan!
Ok, that is it. Long trip. Decent drive overall with lots of land that acts as scenery. I was in Billings, Bozeman, Anaconda, Butte, Helena, Great Falls, Havre, Kalispell, Missoula and Hamilton all in 5 days.
